The Fertility Pipeline Part 2

If you’ve been moving through the fertility pipeline without answers, please know this: you are not broken. The problem isn’t you—it’s that the pipeline is incomplete. If you missed part 1 of the fertility pipeline you can read that here.

Here are some of the most important pieces that conventional care often overlooks:

👉 Sperm health — Up to 50% of infertility cases are related to male factors like low sperm count, poor motility, or abnormal shape. Sperm health is also highly impacted by nutrient status and inflammation. When this isn’t addressed, couples can be pushed into IUIs or IVF without fixing one of the core issues, leaving you feeling more frustrated even though you’re doing everything “right.”

👉 Mineral balance and nutrient status — Minerals are the spark plugs of the body. They don’t just impact ovulation and egg quality—they also regulate thyroid function, blood sugar and insulin resistance, the body’s stress response, gut function, and immune health. Without mineral balance, the foundation for healthy conception just isn’t there.

👉 Thyroid health — Even mild thyroid imbalances can make conception harder, increase miscarriage risk, and affect egg and sperm quality. Yet most women are simply handed a prescription if their labs are off. Rarely do doctors address the nutrition and lifestyle factors—like mineral status, stress, or circadian rhythm—that support thyroid health in the first place.

👉 Gut and vaginal microbiome — A healthy gut microbiome doesn’t just support digestion—it helps regulate how we use and clear sex hormones in the body. The vaginal microbiome is equally important for lowering inflammation and creating a receptive environment for implantation. When these are out of balance, the pipeline may suggest IVF, but success rates drop significantly without addressing this root issue.

👉 Nervous system regulation — Fertility isn’t separate from the rest of your body. Stress, poor sleep, and disrupted circadian rhythms all interfere with hormone balance and reproductive function. Nervous system support isn’t a “nice to have”—it’s essential.

Here’s just one example: many women are prescribed ovulation-stimulating meds. But if sperm health is the real barrier—or if low minerals are driving thyroid and progesterone issues—those meds won’t solve the problem.

This is why so many women feel like they’re doing “all the right things” but still aren’t getting answers.

The good news? These missing pieces can be uncovered and supported with the right testing, nourishment, and care.

In this post, we share how you can step off the pipeline for good and begin creating your own unique fertility journey—one that’s aligned with your body and built on the root causes that matter most.
